Updated: Lady Tigers pitch shutout - soccer scoreboard

Several area soccer teams were in action Saturday.

The West Liberty-Salem Lady Tigers blanked Southeastern 2-0.

Morgan Freyhof and Maddie Gantz each scored.

Ashley Rabenstein and Madison Oelker delivered assists.

April Kelley had three saves in goal.

The Lady Tigers are 10-3 overall and 8-2 in the OHC. Their next game is Tuesday at Springfield Catholic at 5:30.

The West Liberty-Salem varsity boys kicked past host Southeastern 5-0.

Rickey Lowe led the Tigers with 2 goals and 1 assist.

Byler Williamson, Will Hagstrom, and Christian Parker each added a goal.

Hagstrom, Eli Woodruff, and Damon Walters each added an assist.

Sam Warye had 5 saves to record the shutout.

West Liberty-Salem moves to 7-6-1. They will visit state-ranked Springfield Catholic Tuesday night.

The Bellefontaine varsity boys lost to Celina 3-1 at Dodd Stadium.

Nick Gingerich scored on a penalty kick.

The Chiefs (5-7-2) will host New Knoxville Monday night.

The Calvary Christian Jr. High team defeated Benjamin Logan Black 10-0 at Calvary Fields. The Spartans move to 12-0.

Tyler Reinhard, Rylan Studebaker, Garrett Criner, and Garrett Reinhard each scored twice. Pete Kratz and Noah Labelle each scored a goal.

Chantel Smithers recorded two assists and Jon Salmonowicz added an assist.

Garrett Criner and Tyler Reinhard paired up at keeper for the shutout.

The Spartans will be back in action on Tuesday at West Liberty Lions Park at 5:30.

On Friday, the U13 High Point Stars moved into first place by defeating the Greene County Cosmos 4-1.

Dominik Patton had a hat trick and Daunte George added a goal.

Pryce Neeld delivered an assist.

Isaac Williams, Jackson Strzalka, and Tate Schmittauer played excellent defense.

Drew Wrocklage was outstanding in goal.

On Saturday, the U12 High Point Stars blanked Groveport Alliance 5-0.

Preston Henry had 2 goals while Jacob Shell, Pierce Wall, and Jack Nuspl each had one.

Isaiah Henry, Pierce Wall, and Preston Henry had assists.

Goalkeepers Miles Harte and Collin Sutter combined for the shutout.

Cameron Epp and Ryan Johnson played great in midfield.
