Pirates, Tigers highlight volleyball scoreboard

Riverside in action.The Riverside varsity team battled Southeastern and Emmanuel Christian in a tri-match Saturday.

The Pirates lost to Southeastern 25-15, 25-12.

Kerri Meade had 5 kills, Jessica Davis recorded 5 points, and Brooke Hickey added 5 assists.

The Lady Pirates lost a tough match vs. Emmanuel Christian 25-22, 25-27, 24-26. 

Kerri Meade had 16 points, 8 aces, 8 kills, Jessica Davis tallied 6 points, Sam Egbert recorded 16 assists, Brooke Hickey blasted 7 kills, and Taylor Stevens added 10 digs.

The West Liberty-Salem varsity team fell to Urbana in three sets (25-16, 13-25, and 18-25) and also to Jackson Center in two sets (25-14 and 25-7). The Lady Tigers are now 10-9. 

The JV Tigers lost to Urbana in three sets (11-25, 25-19, and 25-16) and also to Jackson Center in two sets (25-9 and 25-11).

The Benjamin Logan freshman team picked up two wins on Saturday, ending their season with a 9-1 record.

The Raiders beat Bellefontaine in the first match of the day 25-15, 25-11.

Benjamin Logan then outlasted Ft. Loramie in 3 sets: 19-25, 25-10, and 25-21.

On the day, Bri Frazier had 9 kills and 12 aces, Ashley Wilkins recorded 7 kills and 4 solo blocks, Betsy King tallied 15 points and 17 assists, Aundria Sheeley delivered 11 points with 3 aces, and Addie Rodenberger recorded 8 kills and 9 digs.
