Chieftain boys kick past Benjamin Logan - soccer scoreboard

A few local high school soccer teams played league matches Wednesday night.

The Bellefontaine varsity boys defeated host Benjamin Logan 3-0.

The game was scoreless at the half.

Matt Baughman powered the Chiefs with two goals.

Aaron Wisner scored a goal and JD Bensman recorded an assist.

The Chiefs are 3-2-1 overall and 2-1-1 in the CBC. They will play at Kenton Saturday at five o'clock.

The Raiders are 1-6.

The JV Chiefs beat Benjamin Logan 3-1.

Matt Voss scored twice and Brayden Lewis added a goal.

Austin Nicholl scored for the Raiders.

The Indian Lake varsity boys blanked visiting Dayton Stebbins 3-0.

The Lakers jumped out to a 2-0 halftime lead.

Dustin Roby had two goals and Zach Allison added a goal.

Dylan Cline recorded an assist.

Goalie Tyler Rode made six saves to earn the shutout.

The Lakers (6-3, 3-1) will play at Kenton Ridge Monday. The JV match will start at 5:30.

Stebbins is 5-2, 3-1.

In varsity girls, Benjamin Logan edged Bellefontaine 1-0 at Dodd Stadium.

Kenzie Heater scored the game-winner in the second half.

The Raiders are 5-2-2. They will host Tipp City Monday at 6:00.

Bellefontaine will host London Saturday at 1:00.

The JV Lady Chiefs ran past Columbus Briggs 7-0.

Breanne Parker had two goals. Madelyn Levine, Bailey Smith, Laryn Newman, Jhealeen Ballesteros, and Jenna Fanin each added a goal.
