Updated: Lady Lakers spike Riverside; Raiders outlast Tigers

Several local volleyball teams were in action Tuesday night.

Indian Lake swept visiting Riverside 25-14, 25-17, and 25-19.

Allison Knief served up 6 aces and Sammi Miller led the offense with 7 kills.

For Riverside, Jessica Davis recorded 5 kills and 3 aces and Kerri Meade tallied 5 kills.

The JV Lakers beat the Pirates 25-7, 25-11.

Indian Lake will travel to Botkins on Thursday.

The Benjamin Logan volleyball team won a five-game match against host West Liberty-Salem 15-25, 25-17, 25-12, 19-25, and 15-13. The Raiders start the season 1-0.

For the Raiders, Taylor Quay led the team with 12 kills and 5 aces, Alex Thompson added 11 kills and 5 blocks, and Jennifer Poling recorded 7 kills and 7 digs. Taylor Rose paced the offense by dishing out 25 assists.

For West Liberty-Salem, Kylee Hormann and Rachel Loffing each had 9 kills. Kylie Gilroy delivered 25 assists.

The JV Raiders got a good start to their season by defeating West Liberty-Salem in straight games with scores of 25-21 and 25-20. Coreen Crosby, Autumn Walborn, and Bri Frazier each tallied 4 kills and Betsy King handed out 7 assists.

Both Benjamin Logan teams are back in action Saturday morning with a tri-match at Triad. Game time is 10:00.

Bellefontaine rolled at Wapakoneta 25-21, 25-17, and 25-14.

Kenzie Brunswick led the effort with 12 kills, 6 aces, 9 digs, and 2 blocks, Jordan Lininger had 24 assists and went 13-for-13 serving with 4 aces, Kameren Haley tallied 7 kills and 7 digs, and Carley Strzalka recorded 6 kills, 6 digs, and 4 aces.

The JV Chiefs lost 21-25, 25-19, and 24-26.

Bellefontaine will host Kenton Thursday. The freshman match will start at 4:30.
