The Bellefontaine Easton Water Solutions Acme baseball team edged Triad 2-1 in the sectional final at Blue Jacket Park (pictured) Sunday afternoon.
Starting pitcher Joe Oliver earned the win by scattering four hits over six innings. He struck out four.
Nick Burton worked a perfect seventh inning to record the save.
The win improves Bellefontaine to 18-3 on the season.
Easton Water managed just one hit, but was able to manufacture two runs.
Bellefontaine did not allow an earned run over the three games in the sectional tournament. They blanked Riverside 9-0, shutout Triad 7-0, and edged Triad 2-1 in the finals.
Bellefontaine and Triad now await the results of the south sectional, which still has not been completed due to rain. The district is scheduled to begin on Friday at Blue Jacket Park.
