Updated: Bellefontaine Easton Water routs Troy – Thursday scoreboard


Bellefontaine Easton Water routed Troy 11-1 in six innings at Blue Jacket Park (pictured).

Starter Joe Oliver pitched four scoreless innings, striking out seven. Connor Burton pitched the final two frames for Bellefontaine.

Gauge Hayman had two triples and Kyle Brunner recorded three hits.

Jarrod Houchin added a double. Drake Roebuck, Jordan Baughman, and Burton all scored twice.

Bellefontaine is now 12-2 on the season and will return to action on Tuesday against the Springfield Heat.

Riverside edged Botkins 5-4.

Conner Cotterman fired a complete game to earn the win.

Tyler Daniels led the offense with a three-run double.

Pony League:

Bellefontaine Maple Leaf defeated Ridgeway 7-5 in the first game of a doubleheader.

Dezmin Lyburtus was the winning pitcher.

Lyburtus tripled and Nick Kurtz had an RBI double.

Jace McGue had two hits for Ridgeway.

Ridgeway won the nightcap 8-6.

Tyler Cox and Jace McGue shined on the mound with a combined 14 strikeouts.

McGue had three hits.

Hayden Ferrell and Garrett Warner each belted a double and a single.

Little League:

Bellefontaine #2 Dairy Queen nipped West Liberty #1 Lions Club 4-3.

Phil Francis recorded ten strikeouts in the win.

Francis shined at the plate with two hits, two RBIs, and scored twice.

Nik Feasel stole four bases and scored two runs.

Lions Club pitching combined for eleven Ks.

Varsity softball:

The Benjamin Logan varsity team swept Ft. Loramie 15-1 and 9-6 in the Sidney summer softball league.

In the first game, Darian Rockhold fired a one-hitter with 11 Ks.

Sydney Evans had a home run and three RBIs.

Taylor Coy delivered a home run and two RBIs.

Keirsten Terry tallied three hits and three RBIs.

Rockhold and Tulsa Bowsher each went 3-for-3 with two RBIs.

In the second game, Natalie Drumm earned the win with six strikeouts.

Shelby Harvey had a double and two RBIs. Keirsten Terry smacked a double.

Benjamin Logan moves to 4-0.

Bellefontaine Area Church Softball League:

Gretna Brethren Church won over Rushsylvania Church of Christ 16-12.
