Updated: Lions Club, Huntsville 12u earns Tuesday evening wins – daily scorecard

Several area ball clubs hit the field for Tuesday games.

The Bellefontaine Easton Water Solutions Acme baseball team fell at Vandalia-Butler 3-2.

Jarrod Houchin pitched for Bellefontaine and struck out seven over six innings. He allowed four hits while walking three.

An unearned run that Vandalia pushed across in the fourth proved to be the difference.

Bellefontaine scored both of its runs in the fifth inning when Tyler Jones singled and Joe Oliver walked. Following a wild pitch, Jones scored on Daniel Boy's ground out and Oliver came home on a single by Kyle Brunner.

Easton Water is now 10-2 on the season. They will host the Xenia Scouts Wednesday night at 6:30.

Pony League:

Bellefontaine Lions Club defeated Maple Leaf 24-6 in 5 innings.

Javon Warner struck out 7 and allowed 5 hits.

Warner, Reid Gleason, Turner Scott, Dillon Robb, and Hayden Smith each had multiple hits.

Warner tripled and Ryan Sebring and Smith each doubled.

Scott and Sebring each tallied 3 RBIs and Xavier Ziegler contributed 2 RBIs.

Ridgemont blanked East Liberty 11-0.

Cade McKinley fired a three-hitter with seven strikeouts.

Cameron Smith led the attack with two doubles and three RBIs.

McKinley and Hayden Ferrell each recorded two hits.

Jace McGue, Brandon Bennett, Zavier McGue, and Garrett Warner added hits.

Little League:

Huntsville #2 McKeestown Trading Post beat Bellefontaine #2 Dairy Queen 16-8 to remain undefeated.

Ethan Fulkerson, Adrian Ramos, John Zumberger, and Garrett Gross combined for eight Ks.

Gross smacked a three-run home run, Fulkerson delivered a triple and four RBIs, Seth Shields belted a triple, and Skylar Losh added a double.

Huntsville improves to 13-0.

For Bellefontaine, Sopher was 3-for-3 with a triple and Stolly had two hits.

Farm League:

Huntsville #2 Classic Swing Driving Range defeated Lakeview #1 9-1 Monday.

Reid Notestine tripled and singled, Nash Eaton belted a double, and Alex Barnes, Lane McPherson, and Maison Johnson each contributed a single.

Alex Barnes struck out 5.

For Lakeview, Lukas Wisener doubled and singled.

12U Softball:

Huntsville Osgood Bank edged Lakeview #1 C&S Farm Market 18-17.

Alyson Huffman and Kelly Shoffner each homered.

Huffman pitched for Huntsville.

Bellefontaine Area Church Softball League:

Reality Outreach Church #1 blitzed First Church of God #2 45-1.

Hopewell United Methodist Church topped Quest Community Church West Liberty 39-35.
