Area ball teams started the week on the diamond Monday.

Farm League:

Brown's Lawn and Tree Service defeated Thompson Electric 7-5 in tournament play.

For Brown's, Robbie Smith threw three shutout innings with seven strikeouts.

Jayden Campbell earned the save getting the final three outs on eight pitches.

As a team, Brown's pitching gave up one hit while posting 13 strikeouts.

Smith led the offense with two hits and two RBIs.

Kobe Brown doubled and scored a run.

Lee's Roofing handled All-Around Awards 12-2 in tournament play.

Jacob Mitchell had a key double and three RBIs.

Beau Salyers tallied three hits and three RBIs.

Cole Comstock recorded three hits and two RBIs.

Brenneke Wilcoxon had two hits and two RBIs.

Rushsylvania #1 Pheasants Forever outscored Rushsylvania #2 Bellefontaine Examiner 12-8.

Pitchers Hayden Kennaw, Hunter Kennaw, Ammon Miller, and Carter Reese combined for 10 Ks.

Reese belted a two-run homer and Kosar Kensler ripped a solo blast.

Hayden Kennaw and Noah Comer each had two hits.

Miller, Briggs Defibaugh, and Carter Bray each added a hit.

Rushsylvania #1 moves to 9-2-1.

Washington #2 edged Huntsville #1 7-6.

Reece Lensman had a triple and two RBIs.

Lensman shined on the mound with eleven strikeouts.

Softball:

14U:

West Liberty Acrux lost to Zanesfield 14-4.

Dierdre McGill started on the mound and Laura Neer came on in relief.

McGill, Neer, Carrington Cordeiro, Courtney Neer, and Taylor Henault delivered hits.

12U:

Lakeview #1 C&S Market ran past DeGraff 15-3.

Annabelle Bryant was the winning pitcher with nine strikeouts.

Anna Peterman delivered a three-run triple.

Jazzlynn Goings tallied two singles and three RBIs.

For DeGraff, Kreglow and Walter had singles.

Washington Seeley Farms edged Huntsville 12-11 for their fifth consecutive win.

McKenzie Frost earned the win and recorded ten strikeouts.

Lindsay Berg led the attack with a triple and a single.

Alexis Stroud had a key two-run single and Rachel Davis hit safely in five at bats.

Alli Knapp had an oustanding defensive game.

For Huntsville, Kaylee Foreman belted a single, a double, and a triple.

Both teams will play in the postseason tourament this weekend in Huntsville.

Bellefontaine Area Church Softball League:

Calvary Baptist #1 beat Calvary Baptist #2 15-11.

Huntsville United Methodist Church topped Reality Outreach Church #2 27-18.
