Benjamin Logan baseball uses fast start to beat Southeastern - Monday scorecard

Several local ball clubs took to the field Monday.

The Benjamin Logan varsity baseball team defeated Southeastern 10-5.

Zane Collins pitched two scoreless innings to record the win.

Collins led the offense with two hits and three RBIs.

Austin Cline was 2-for-2 and Collen Pulfer added a hit and an RBI.

The Raiders (14-14) will play top-seeded Tipp City in the sectional final Thursday afternoon at Tecumseh. Game time is five o'clock.

Youth finals:

In Farm League, Washington #2 defeated Ridgemont 13-9.

Logan Evans doubled twice and tallied 4 RBIs, Marshall Schwieterman tripled, and Nathan Worrell doubled and added 2 RBIs.

Kyle LeVan shined behind the plate.

West Liberty Wilcoxon Construction outscored East Liberty #1 25-3 on Friday night.

Gabriel Boysel belted a home run and a double.

Gaven Wilcoxon had two doubles and a triple.

Ayva Stewart recorded a triple. Jayden Temple and Joey LaRoche added doubles.

In City Farm League, AcuSport defeated Thompson Electric 5-4.

Connor Rose had three hits including the game-tying double in the bottom of the 6th.

Brady Burden hit the game-winning RBI single scoring Rose.

Rose was the winning pitcher.

For Thompson Electric, Hunter Warner hit 2 triples and Alex Pulfer struck out 8.

Lee's Roofing beat All-Around Awards 14-5.

Kane Adkins smacked two triples.

Cole Comstock and Lucas Yoesting each had two hits and Beau Salyer added a double.

In 14U softball, Lakeview #1 Osgood State Bank outscored Lakeview #2 17-6.

Mercedes Brown had three hits and three RBIs, Victoria Wauben recorded two hits and three RBIs, and Meliesha Hengsteler drove in two runs.

Brown, Tatum Reprogle, and Madison Thompson combined for six Ks. Brown earned the win.

Bellefontaine Area Church Softball League:

First Baptist Church Urbana topped Reality Outreach Church 17-9.

First Church of God #1 beat First Church of God #2 13-2.
