Lakers clinch third straight CBC title, Lady Raiders roll – Monday scorecard

Several area ball clubs of all ages were in action Monday.

The Indian Lake varsity baseball team (pictured) edged visiting Benjamin Logan 4-3 on 1390 WBLL, clinching their third straight CBC Mad River division title.

Senior Nate Davis delivered a two-out double in the bottom of the seventh inning to drive in classmate Brandon Ross.

Isaac Miller had a hit and an RBI and Dustin Dapice belted a triple.

Ross fired a complete game to earn the win.

Benjamin Logan sophomore Zane Collins suffered the loss. He went 6 2/3 innings and struck out 13.

Kam Newland drove in two runs. Brady Bechtel and Collen Pulfer each had two hits.

Indian Lake is 12-8 overall and 11-3 in the CBC. Benjamin Logan is 10-12, 4-9.

The Bellefontaine varsity baseball team ran past Dayton Stebbins 10-0 in six innings at Blue Jacket Park.

Starter Cody Lyons was dominant, striking out nine in five innings.

Trent Nicholl had two hits and two RBIs.

The Chiefs are 14-7 overall and 10-4 in the CBC.

The Indians fall to 5-18, 0-14.

Urbana blanked rival Graham 6-0.

The Benjamin Logan varsity softball team topped Indian Lake 8-1.

Jess Dodson recorded 4 RBIs, Kate Campbell doubled twice, and Courtney Stewart earned the win.

The Raiders are 15-9 overall and 9-5 in the league. The Lakers are 9-12, 4-10.

The Bellefontaine softball team routed Dayton Stebbins 11-1. The Chiefs improve to 12-11 and 7-7.

Urbana edged Graham 6-5.

In Pony League, Bellefontaine Maple Leaf nipped Belle Center 9-8.

Dezmin Lyburtus struck out 9 and Owen O'Connor tallied 6 Ks.

Chase Schmittauer delivered the game-winning hit in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Johnny Ganson, Jerome Smith, and Austin Allen each doubled.

For Belle Center, Sam Slavans and Danny Elson each doubled.

In City Farm League, AcuSport defeated All-Around Awards 7-5.

Connor Rose was 2-for-2 with a double. Cameron Kline stole five bases.

Kline, Rose, Dhalin Dhamron, and Robby Wildermuth shared the pitching duties.

For All-Around Awards, Brian Bush smacked a double.

In County Farm League, Washington #1 outscored Lakeview 14-4.

Chase Coburn shined on the mound with six Ks.

Ethan Snapp, Lane Mefford, and Kale Long pitched well.

Long had three hits with a home run, Nate Cummins recorded three hits, and Coburn added two hits.

In the Bellefontaine Area Church Softball League, Calvary #2 defeated Reality Outreach Church #2 16-10.

Church of God #1 beat Huntsville UMC 35-15.
