The West Liberty-Salem girls track team placed second behind Minster at the nine-team Milton-Union Bulldog Invitational Saturday.
Freshman Morgan Freyhof led the Lady Tigers by breaking the WLS school record and winning the 200 meter dash with a 27.10. Freyhof also won the 100 meter dash and anchored the winning 4x100 relay team with teammates Michaela Rausch, Abigail Rabenstein, and Megan Etgen. Also placing first for WLS were Meghan Vogel in the 1600 meter run and Megan Etgen in pole vault.
Second place finishes came from Vogel in the 800 meter run, Rabenstein in the 100 meter hurdles, Maddie Gantz in shot put, the 4x800 relay team of Vogel, Jasmine Smith, Shawnda Henault, and Alyssa Strickland, the 4x200 relay team of Rabenstein, Rausch, Savanna Shipp, and Darby Thomas and the 4x400 relay team of Freyhof, Smith, Thomas, and Vogel.
Pitching in 3rd place finishes were Mollie Etgen in discus, Strickland in the 3200 meter run, Rabenstein in the 300 meter hurdles, and Rausch in the 100 and 200 meter dashes.

WLS travels to Graham Tuesday for the Champaign County Meet.
The Bellefontaine girls won the ten-team Waynesfield-Goshen Tiger Invitational Friday night.
Sophomore Brenda Johnson broke the 23-year-old BHS shot put record with a winning throw of 39' 7.5", eclipsing Jae Meadows' record by half an inch.
Other first place finishes included Alexa Haushalter in pole vault, Regan Price in the 200, Kameren Haley in the 110 hurdles, the 400 and 800 relays of Kinchen, Price, Haley, and Ashley Artis, and the 1600 relay of Rebecca Carmen, Price, Anya Smith, and Artis.
The BHS boys placed fifth out of ten teams.
Sophomore Chantz Rose took top honors in shot put.
