Updated: Raiders sweep Kenton; Riverside wins big - softball scoreboard

The Benjamin Logan Lady Raiders swept Kenton in a doubleheader Saturday.

The Raiders used a seven-run sixth inning to blow out the Wildcats in the opener 10-1.

For the winners, Courtney Stewart had three hits and three runs, Kate Campbell recorded three hits, two runs, and three RBI, Melina Hilty and Jesse Dodson each had a pair of hits and a run, and Taylor Coy added a hit, a run, and two RBI.

Brooklyn Terrill was the winning pitcher. Kate Campbell pitched the final four innings for the save.

Game Two saw the Raiders complete the sweep, winning 7-4.

Taylor Quay had a pair of hits and runs. Dodson added a hit, a run, and two RBI, and Sydney Evans scored a pair of runs.

Stewart went the distance pitching for the win.

Riverside rode a 10-run first inning to rout Fairlawn 11-1.

Taylor Anderson powered the offense with two hits, three runs, and an RBI, Chelsea Giles had three RBI, and Taylor Nichols and Heather Comer each scored twice.

Christyn Wietholter gave up just two hits for the win.

Riverside is now 4-3 on the season.

Indian Lake swept visiting Russia.

In the first game, the Lakers scored five runs in the sixth inning to defeat the Raiders 7-5.

Ashley Franks earned the win. Kierstin Merritt was 2-for-2.

Indian Lake won the nightcap 6-5.

Franks was 4-for-4 with a triple.

Tori Lones was the winning pitcher with nine strikeouts.

On Friday, Indian Lake beat Kenton 8-4.

Claire Maier pitched four innings to earn the win.

Taylor Dixon drove in three runs.

Jr. High:

The Benjamin Logan Gold team won two games on Sunday.

Benjamin Logan handled Cory-Rawson 18-2.

Kinzie Jones, Tahlsa Bowsher, and Maddie Jones combined for a two-hitter with eleven strikeouts.

Kinzie Jones had a double, a home run, and five RBI. Bowsher had two hits with a home run.

In the second game, Gold defeated Ottawa 15-2.

Kinzie Jones tossed a three-hitter with ten Ks.

Leanne Regula and Taylor Keen each had a triple.

Zayla Marshall, Addie Rodenberger, Daelyn Stanton, and Maddie Jones each added a hit.

The Benjamin Logan Black team split their games on Sunday.

Benjamin Logan fell to Allen East 13-12, then rebounded to beat McComb 14-2.

Grace Dearduff earned with win. She fired a two-hitter and struck out twelve.

Kierstyn Terry was 3-for-3. Olivia Rose smacked a triple.
