Lady Tigers win Jr. High quad; Wolfe leads boys by setting school record

The West Liberty-Salem Jr. High track teams shined at a quad meet in Anna Thursday.

The Lady Tigers won the meet with 83 points, the host Rockets followed with 69 points, Ft. Loramie was third with 40 points, and Houston finished with 26 points.

West Liberty-Salem had several first-place finishers, including:

Aubrie Stillings – long jump

Reghan Bieleski – 800 meters and 1600 meters

Laine Godwin – 200 hurdles

4x100 relay of Laine Godwin, Taylor Lauck, Tory Cordell, and Aubrie Stillings

4x200 relay of Maegan Cordell, Kaeley Lattimer, Sierra McCall, and Jenna Magnuson

4x400 relay of Taylor Lauck, Sophie Farquarson, Janie Kopus, and Reghan Bieleski

Second-place finishers included Tory Cordell in the 200 meters, Lyrica Lorenz in discus, and Laine Godwin in the 100 meter hurdles.

Brandon Wolfe led the boys team.

He broke the school record in the long jump with a first-place finish of 18’ 3”.

Wolfe was second in the 100 and 200.

The 4x200 relay of Parker, Moell, Kelly, and Woods placed second.

The 4x100 relay of Parker, Moell, Kelly, and Strickland finished third.
