The Riverside powerlifting team competed in the 2013 state meet at Kenton High School on Saturday.

The boys and girls teams did very well.
For the girls, freshman Taylor Stevens won the state championship in the 115 lbs class. She had the highest squat at 300 lbs and the highest deadlift at 300 lbs. Both lifts are a state record.
Ashtyn Defibaugh was state runner-up at 115 lbs.
Allie Dickenson finished 3rd at 115 lbs.
Ashton Wooddell was 4th at 145 lbs.
Kelsie Barney placed 5th at 175 lbs.
Kierstyn Severt earned 7th at 125 lbs.
For the boys:
Mike Schaffer was 3rd at 135 lbs.
Austin Glasgow placed 4th at 165 lbs.
Kyle Plank finished 5th at 155 lbs.
Caleb Stevens was 6th at 135 lbs.
Zach Stewart earned 6th at 210 lbs.
Chris Cox was 7th at 175 lbs.
John Tully finished 8th at 210 lbs.
Collin Harbour, Hunter Goings, and Alexa Klinger also did very well for the team.
The Riverside powerlifting team will travel to Springfield for the 2013 NASA Regional Championships on April 13th.
