Updated: Falcons soaring at state wrestling meet; Lakers Lange and Henderson bounce back

Here are championship quarterfinal results from Friday.

In Division II, seven Falcons posted wins.

Eli Stickley (106) earned a 24-7 technical fall over Tariq Wilson of Steubenville.

Eli Seipel (113) pinned Ana Abduljelil of Whitehall-Yearling in 4:50.

Brent Moore (120) defeated Conner Nemec of Mantua Crestwood 6-0.

Micah Jordan (132) pinned Nolan Whitely of Walsh Jesuit in 1:26.

Alex Marinelli (152) defeated Jared Chambers of Oak Harbor 13-5.

Bo Jordan (160) earned a 21-4 technical fall over Logan Reaser of Ravenna.

Lane Thomas (170) beat Tyler Maclellan of Cuyahoga Falls CVCA 6-4.

Both Indian Lake wrestlers were defeated Friday morning, but stayed alive with wins in the consolation quarterfinals.

Heath Lange (138) lost to Ryan Skonieczy of Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary 8-6.

Lange then pinned Daniel Hasson of Lisbon Beaver in 3:28.

L.J. Henderson (160) lost to Alec Schenk of Perry 8-4.

Henderson then pinned Zeck Lehman of Richfield Revere in 1:43.

Urbana standouts Jack Harris and Sam Harris earned victories.

Jack Harris (182) beat Holden Hengstler of Wapakoneta 5-1. Harris moves to 50-1.

Sam Harris (195) edged Isaiah Margheim of Sandusky 5-4.

Benjamin Logan senior Beau Harmon (285) was eliminated after dropping a 7-3 consolation quarterfinal match to Connor Sharp of Beloit West Branch.

Harmon went 45-4 this year.

In Division III results:

West Liberty-Salem freshman Trevor Anderson (126) lost to Zac Tupps of Galion 14-5.

Anderson rebounded and beat Andrew Slonkosky of Versailles 9-5.

The two Mechanicsburg wrestlers split.

Austin Reese (138) defeated Zach Niner of Liberty Center 7-0.

Max Erwin (160) lost to Ryan Harris of Beachwood 12-7.

Erwin then defeated Rob Mickey of Johnstown Northridge 8-1.

The state tournament runs through Saturday night.
