A few local boys basketball teams played sectional semifinal games Wednesday night.
In Division II at Springfield, Urbana stifled Tipp City 58-39 to avenge a triple-overtime loss earlier this month.
The Hillclimbers outscored the Red Devils 16-3 in the second quarter to take a 30-15 lead at the half.
Urbana has won five straight to move to 18-6.
Tipp City finishes the season 18-6.
Springfield Shawnee handled Greenon 75-43.
The Braves (22-2) will play the Hillclimbers in the sectional final Friday night at eight o'clock at Springfield.
Division IV at Piqua:
Top-seeded Jackson Center blitzed Mississinawa Valley 47-21.
The Tigers jumped out to an 18-0 lead after the first quarter.
Houston edged Lehman 49-47.
The Wildcats will face Jackson Center in the sectional final Saturday night at seven o'clock.
At Troy, Southeastern lost to Franklin Monroe 43-37.
In Division I, Springboro ran past Dayton Stebbins 70-45.
