Indian Lake posted a ninth-place finish followed by Urbana in twelfth at the district wrestling championships in Goshen over the weekend.
Graham (pictured) again dominated the team title, finishing well ahead of second-place Ross 231.5-160. The Lakers scored 60 points and Urbana 53.
Indian Lake had a pair of grapplers grab runner-up places. Heath Lange (138) and L.J. Henderson (160) each finished in second place. Lange lost in the title match 10-7 to Cordell Byrd of Ross, and Henderson was pinned by Graham’s Bo Jordan.
Urbana had a pair of champions, Jack Harris at 182 and Sam Harris at 195.
The Falcons notched seven individual champions: Eli Stickley (106), Eli Seipel (113), Brent Moore (120), Micah Jordan (132), Alex Marinelli (152), Bo Jordan (160), and Lane Thomas (170).
In the Division II district at Bowling Green, two Benjamin Logan standouts punched their ticket to the state tournament.
Beau Harmon (285) and Beau Swank (220) each finished third.
In Division III, West Liberty-Salem freshman Trevor Anderson (126) finished runner-up Sunday at Kettering Fairmont to qualify for state.
In the district championship match, Anderson lost 9-5 to Andrew Hoskins of Greeneview.
The top four wrestlers in each weight class qualify for the annual state tournament, which runs Thursday through Saturday in Columbus.
