The Urbana varsity girls' basketball team used a strong 4th quarter performance to defeat Benjamin Logan in Division II Sectional Tournament coverage on 98.3 WPKO at Tecumseh High School Thursday.
The Lady Hillclimbers outscored the Lady Raiders 22-13 in the 4th quarter to win, 60-49.
Benjamin Logan enjoyed an 11-point lead in the second quarter at 18-7 before the Hillclimbers then went on an 11-0 run to tie the game at 18. The Raiders ended the half on a 6-1 run and led 24-19 at the break.
The second half was a different story as the Hillclimbers started to heat up from the floor. All-Ohio player Trischa Lacy was held to 6 points in the first half, but came out firing in the second scoring 22.
Urbana made the most of their scoring opportunities from the free-throw line making 22 of 26 shots while Benjamin Logan was just 4 for 9 from the line.
Urbana's Braxton Rogan earned Steve Austin's Auto Group Player of the Game honors scoring 22 points, including going 10 for 12 at the free throw line. Trischa Lacy contributed 28 points to the win.
For Benjamin Logan, Brooklyn Terrill tallied 18 points and Ciarra Wirick added 11. Sharpshooter Jessica Yoder was held scoreless. Yoder was hampered by an ankle injury she suffered earlier in the week and was not 100%.
Urbana advances to face top-seeded Dayton Carroll Tuesday night at Tecumseh High School at 7:30 pm.
Benjamin Logan ends their season at 14-9.

In Division III sectional action, the West Liberty-Salem varsity girls fell to Versailles 52-22.
Versailles jumped out to a 27-8 halftime lead. They sealed the win by outscoring West Liberty-Salem 20-8 in the third quarter.
For the Lady Tigers, Melany Ward contributed 12 points and Maria Daulton added 5 points.
WLS went 8-15 this year. Versailles moves to 20-3.
The Indian Lake 8th grade boys lost to visiting Northridge 43-39 in the CBC semifinals.
Alex Jacobs recorded 17 points and 9 rebounds, Tyler Reprogle tallied 10 points and 5 rebounds, Dalton Faler scored 8 points, and Nate Kaffenbarger added 4 points.
The 8th grade Lakers end their season at 16-1. The tournament loss snapped a 31-game winning streak, dating back to last year.
The Bellefontaine 8th grade boys fell at Tipp City 34-17 in the CBC semifinals.
Hayden Nease scored 8 points.
The 8th grade Chiefs finished the season with a 13-4 record.
