The Bellefontaine Lady Chieftains basketball team opened sectional play Wednesday night at Tecumseh HS by defeating the Indian Lake Lakers 50-31. The game was heard on WPKO.
Senior Sajah Carter led a balanced attack for the Chiefs with 15 points. Her effort was worthy of being named the Steve Austin Player of the game. Brenda Johnson had 8, and Regan Price 7. Mikaela Oyer led Indian Lake with 12. Haley Boberg chipped in 11.
Bellefontaine is now 15-8 and plays next Tuesday night against the Greenon. Indian Lake finishes 10-13.
