Fawcett sets world scoring mark

Former Benjamin Logan and Penn State volleyball star Nicole Fawcett (pictured) set the world individual match scoring record with 55 points for Korea Expressway in its five-set win over Industrial Bank of Korea Tuesday night in a Korea League match.

Fawcett recorded 53 kills on 85 attacks with only seven errors as part of her record-breaking performance, eclipsing the old mark of 54 points held by Dominican Republic's Bethania de la Cruz and Colombia's Madelynne Montano.

Fawcett was named the National Player of the Year following her senior season at Penn State. She has played on several professional teams the last four years.
