The Bellefontaine boys and girls swim teams finished 5th at the CBC league meet Saturday at Wright State (pictured).
The team had many highlights, including 10 medal winners.
The boys 200 Medley Relay of Josh Haisley, Evan Snapp, Isaiah Brady, and Andy Ames started the meet strong by winning the event convincingly. The same team placed 2nd in the 200 free relay.
Haisley won the 50 free and set a new CBC record. He finished second in the 100 free.
Other medal winners were Kyle Harris 3rd in 500 free and Evan Snapp 3rd in 100 back.
For the girls, the 200 Medley Relay of Jessica Miller, Emma Smith, Shelby Phillips, and Erin Levine finished 3rd and the 400 Free Relay of Miller, Smith, Phillips, and Katie Vetorino also brought home the bronze.
Individually, Jessica Miller led the Chiefs earning gold in the 50 and 100 free. Miller set a CBC record in the 50 free and just narrowly missed the 100 free record.
Both teams set several personal records.
The BHS boys will compete in the sectional tournament Friday at Trotwood-Madison High School. The girls will swim at Trotwood on Saturday.
