A few local soccer teams were in action Thursday.
Calvary Christian defeated Springfield Emmanuel 9-1.
Alex McGillis, Ian McGillis, Ben Tanner, Peter Printz, Josh Smithers, Dan Salmonowicz, and Josh Wilt each scored for the Spartans.
Brianna Gibson and Kyle Pond each played a solid game.
The Spartans improve to 4-2-1 and host the West Liberty-Salem JV team Tuesday.

Benjamin Logan Gold beat West Liberty #1 4-1.
Tim Gerholdt scored 3 goals and Stevie Plikerd added goal.
The Bellefontaine travel team defeated Indian Lake #1 4-2.
Jacob Childs scored two goals. Peyton Neeld and Mark Moreno each added a goal.
Neeld and Lilly Levan each delivered an assist.
For Indian Lake, Mitch Schwieterman and Kaleb Benny each scored a goal.
Schwieterman had an assist.
