Area boys' golf teams opened their season Friday.
Benjamin Logan won the CBC Preseason Tournament with a score of 313.
Blaine Ricketts and Jordan Sosby each shot a 75, Ed Kenoyer carded a 78, Grant Ricketts posted an 85, Cole Saylor recorded an 88, and Mason Cline added a 93.
Bellefontaine tied for 6th with Northwestern shooting a 346, Urbana was 8th with a 357, Graham placed 11th with a 415, and Indian Lake finished 12th with a 426.
Clark Engle of Springfield Shawnee had the low round of the day with a 74.
West Liberty-Salem competed in the Indianbrook Golf Tournament hosted by Allen East.
Out of 10 teams, the Tigers placed 4th with a score of 365.
In a field of 60 golfers, Nick Sims placed 4th with a 79 and Jacob Rutan took 6th with an 81. Ethan McBean carded a 100, Casey Gay shot a 105, Matthew Kauffman posted a 108, and Zach Smith added a 136.
West Liberty-Salem will compete in the Champaign County Tournament at Lakeland Tuesday.
