Local ball clubs hit the diamond Wednesday evening.


The Benjamin Logan varsity girls rallied past visiting Bellefontaine 2-1 in 8 innings.

LeAnn Regula belted a double in the bottom of the 7th to tie the game.

Jaz McKeen drove in the winning run.

Haley Wilson recorded 3 hits with a double and a stolen base.

Kinzie Jones had 2 hits with a stolen base.

Grace Deardurff was the winning pitcher.

She struck out 9.

For Bellefontaine, Hailee Price smacked a double.

The Raiders are 5-0 overall and 2-0 in the CBC.

Benjamin Logan will host Riverside on Thursday.

The Chiefs fall to 0-6, 0-4.

The West Liberty-Salem varsity girls lost to West Jefferson 6-1.

Dierdre McGill ripped a triple and Kelsey Day recorded a double and RBI.

The varsity Lady Tigers fall to 3-1 and travel to Northeastern Thursday.

The West Liberty-Salem JV girls defeated Fairbanks 10-4.

Alexa Stoll hit a triple.

Maycee Miller recorded the win while striking out 5 batters.

The JV Lady Tigers improve to 2-0 on the season and will host Northeastern Thursday.

The West Liberty-Salem varsity baseball team fell to visiting West Jefferson 8-0.

The Tigers were held to 3 hits.

Thomas Allen suffered the loss. He struck out 10.

Allen had a double to lead the offense.

Tyler Jones and Levi Moell each added a hit.

The Tigers (2-2) will travel to Northeastern on Thursday.

Trace Tevis, Keegan Wilson, Cole Jones, and Jacob Powell each drove in runs.

For Urbana, Austin Rader and Gabe Spiers each recorded 3 RBIs and Kaleb Bowdle added 2 RBIs.

Spiers tallied 11 strikeouts from the mound.

The Hillclimbers move to 4-3.

The Lakers are 0-6.

Jr High baseball:

Graham edged Mechanicsburg 7-6.
