Franks advances to National Junior Olympics in track

Dustin FranksLocal track standout Dustin Franks has qualified for the National Junior Olympics.

Franks competed at the Region 5 Junior Olympics regional meet at Cedarville University over the weekend.

The meet featured athletes from Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky, and West Virginia.

Dustin earned three medals: 3rd place in 110m hurdles, 3rd place in high jump with a personal record of 5' 9", and 4th place in long jump with a personal record of 18' 8".

Franks will compete in the national meet in Lawrence, Kansas, in two weeks.

Dustin is a student at Indian Lake High School and a member of The Ohio Speed Academy Club in Plain City.
