Updated: Tigers, Pirates roll to shutout victories - Tuesday ball finals

Several area ball teams hit the diamond Tuesday evening.

The West Liberty-Salem varsity baseball team shut out Fairbanks 12-0.

Ben Hyland was the winning pitcher.

Chase Humphrey recorded 4 RBIs, Thomas Allen tallied a double and 3 RBIs, Trevor Burden belted a home run, and Tyler Jones contributed an RBI.

The Tigers improve to 7-6 (3-2) and travel to Jackson Center Thursday.

The Riverside varsity baseball team blanked Hardin Northern 16-0.

Caleb Stevens homered and tallied 2 RBIs, Hayden Robinson tripled and recorded 2 RBIs, Tyler Sanford added 3 RBIs, and Hunter Kreglow contributed 2 RBIs.

Robinson struck out 7 from the mound.

The Benjamin Logan varsity baseball team defeated visiting Greenon 19-7.

The Raiders rallied from a 7-0 deficit to win in 6 innings.

Cole Waugh homered, tripled, and drove in 7 runs, Dalton Rockhold homered, doubled, and totaled 4 RBIs, Nick Brown doubled and tallied 2 RBIs, and Konner Caudill contributed 2 RBIs.

From the mound, Konner Caudill fanned 9 batters and Curtis Gadson added 4 strikeouts.

Benjamin Logan moves to 11-3 overall and 5-1 in the CBC.

The Indian Lake varsity baseball team beat Tecumseh 10-4.

Tyler Huffer tallied 3 RBIs and Josh Shelton added 2 RBIs.

Alex Jacobs struck out 9 batters.

The Lakers are 9-3, 5-2.

The Bellefontaine varsity baseball team lost at Springfield Shawnee 6-4.

Turner Scott had the Chiefs' lone two hits.

BHS is 7-7.

The JV Chiefs outscored the Braves 15-12.

Dillon Robb had 3 hits with a double.

Conner Mentzer recorded a double and 2 RBIs.

The JV Tigers edged Fairbanks 12-11.

Trevor Woodruff earned the win with 9 Ks.

Ethan Larson and Zech Wilcox each had 3 hits.

Jacob Vanhorn recorded 3 hits and 3 RBIs.

Woodruff added 2 hits with a double.

Grace Deardurff was the winning pitcher.

Tahlsa Bowshier, Baylie Levan, and Haley Wilson each tripled.

The Lady Raiders improve to 8-5 (2-4) and travel to Urbana Thursday.

The Benjamin Logan JV softball team topped Greenon 15-5.

Sarah VanDyke tallied 3 RBIs and Savannah Smucker and Hanna Logsdon each contributed 2 RBIs.

The Riverside varsity softball team lost to Hardin Northern 8-7.

Courtnie Smith produced 2 RBIs.

From the mound, Shelby Giles and Marissa Davis each struck out 3 batters.

The Indian Lake varsity softball team blanked Tecumseh 6-0.

The JV Lakers ran past the Arrows 21-0.

The West Liberty-Salem varsity softball team beat Fairbanks 6-1.

Kelsey Day was the winning pitcher.

Day led the offense with 4 hits and 4 RBIs.

Grace Woodruff, Kenedie Cox, and Olivia Ames each added 2 hits.

The Tigers are 9-4 overall and 7-1 in the OHC.

The Bellefontaine varsity softball team fell at Springfield Shawnee 9-4.

Emily Mitchell had 2 hits with a triple.

Hailee Price recorded 2 hits.

Emily Kirby and Maddie Neal each added a double.
