In HS boys basketball Tuesday, West Liberty-Salem defeated visiting Urbana 68-58.
Kannon Stillings poured in 24 points, Tyler Louden had 14 points, Dillon Callicoat scored 12, and Trevor Burden added 11 points.
The JV Tigers won 44-42.
Tyler Jones had 12 points, Kasey Kite tossed in 9 points, and Eli McGill added 8 points.
The freshman Tigers ran past Urbana 51-20.
Matthew Loffing and Ethan Cole each had 10 points.
Trevor Woodruff tallied 9 points.
The Tigers (13-8) will entertain Triad Friday night, a game you can hear on 98.3 WPKO.
Elida edged Bellefontaine 44-40.
The Chiefs fall to 16-5.
In HS girls basketball Tuesday Jackson Center outscored host Riverside 50-30.
Dana Jones led the Lady Pirates with 11 points, Marissa Davis had 7 points, and Aubrie Stillings scored 6 points with 5 rebounds.
Cassie Meyer scored a game-high 19 points for Jackson Center.
In the JV game it was Jackson Center 20 Riverside 17.
Calvary Christian won at Northside Christian Tuesday 43-26.
Elisha Carter led the Lady Spartans with 23 points while Katie Thompson had another double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds.
Calvary Christian (12-7) will play Lima Temple in the 1st round of the Ohio Christian School Athletic Association tournament Thursday at Union Station at 5:30 pm.
Calvary is the 3rd seed while Lima Temple is the 6th seed.
The Riverside 7th grade girls defeated Waynesfield-Goshen 23-19 in the NWCC tournament.
The Lady Pirates were led by Hannah Asbury with 9 points, while Sasha Stotler and Olivia Perk each added 4 points.
Riverside will play Saturday for the NWCC championship.
