Lady Tigers complete perfect season in OHC – Monday basketball finals

The West Liberty-Salem varsity girls basketball team defeated host Mechanicsburg 51-47 Monday night to finish undefeated in league play.

Kelsey Day poured in 18 points and Lily Yoder added 16 points.

They each hit 4 three-pointers.

The Lady Tigers are 21-1 overall and 13-0 in the OHC.

Last Thursday, WL-S handled Mechanicsburg 83-49.

The JV Lady Tigers beat the Indians 29-16.

Peyton Kerns tossed in 11 points.

The West Liberty-Salem freshman boys team edged Northeastern 49-44 in overtime to win the OHC tournament.

Ethan Cole had 16 points, Trevor Woodruff tossed in 15, and Gavin Harrison added 7 points.

The Benjamin Logan 8th grade boys team outscored Tecumseh 49-35 to advance to the semifinals of the CBC tournament.

Keaghan Stahler had 18 points and Tanner Perkins added 9 points.

The Raiders will play at Greenon on Thursday.

The Benjamin Logan 7th grade boys lost to Springfield Shawnee in the second round of the CBC tournament.

Brady Burrey had 9 points and 3 steals.

Kaden Arn recorded 8 points and 4 rebounds.
