Updated: Lady Tigers shut out Southeastern - Thursday finals

The West Liberty-Salem varsity girls soccer team shut out Southeastern 7-0 Thursday.

Annika Wolfe scored 2 goals and Maddie Gantz, Taylor Lauck, Morgan Freyhof, Christy Kauffman, and Mary Shank each added goals.

Laine Godwin delivered 2 assists and Wolfe and Lauck each contributed an assist.

Lauren Godwin recorded the shutout in goal.

The Lady Tigers improve to 3-0-0 (2-0-0) and travel to Springfield Shawnee Tuesday.

The West Liberty-Salem varsity boys kicked past Southeastern 11-0.

Nine different players scored.

Rickey Lowe and Cole McDaniel each scored twice.

Will Hagstrom and Christian Parker each recorded a goal and an assist.

McDaniel added an assist.

Raiph Levan, Sylas Smittle, Eli Woodruff, Neil Markin, and Thomas Allen each scored a goal.

Sam Warye and Elias Kirker-Napiorkowski combined for the shutout.

The Tigers are 3-1. They will play at Northeastern next Thursday at 7:30.

Jr. High:

Calvary Christian blanked Benjamin Logan 11-0.

Cody Kuhn had three goals.

Josh Kilgore scored twice.

Noah LaBelle, Garrett Reinhard, Peter Kratz, Isaac Dillon, Amber Wenger, and Mataya Penhorwood each scored.

Kuhn and Thomas Rorrer recorded the shutout in goal.

West Liberty #2 beat Benjamin Logan Gold 4-1.

Jacob VanHorn had three goals.

Lance Baldwin added a score.

For Benjamin Logan Gold, Mitch Coleman scored.
