Lakers boot Bellefontaine; Davis suffers season-ending injury

The Indian Lake varsity boys defeated visiting Bellefontaine 3-1.

Lakers star Connor Davis suffered a season-ending injury according to his father.

The junior standout has a broken foot, which will sideline him for four months.

Davis along with Nikolas Vance and Zach Allison each scored a goal.

Davis, Vance, and Dustin Roby each had an assist.

The Lakers took control early, scoring two goals in the first 20 minutes.

Aaron Wisner scored the lone Chieftain goal early in the second half.

Indian Lake dominated play, recording 16 shots on goal.

BHS was held to three shots on goal.

The Lakers have won the rival matchup the last two years.

Indian Lake is 3-1, 1-0.

They will visit Wapakoneta Saturday at 5 p.m.

The Chiefs are 0-4-1 and 0-1 in the league.

They host Graham next Wednesday.

The JV Chiefs beat the Lakers 3-0.
