Riverside ACME rallies past Benjamin Logan – Baseball and Softball finals

Several area baseball and softball teams played Monday night.


Riverside rallied past Benjamin Logan 11-10.

The Pirates trailed 8-2 after three innings.

They scored three runs in the fourth inning and two runs in the fifth inning.

The hosts were down 10-7 going to the bottom of the seventh inning.

Trey Lane delivered a two-run double to score Dillon Roof and Tanner Lane.

Trey Long then laid down an RBI bunt single to drive in Lane.

With two outs and the bases loaded, Gavin Stallard came through with a game-winning single to deep left field.

Stallard had three RBIs.

Trey Lane recorded two doubles and four RBIs.

Tanner Lane had two hits and scored twice.

Hunter Kreglow tallied three hits.

The Pirates are 3-1.

Farm League:

LeVan's Service Center defeated Easton Water Solutions 10-6.

Pitchers Alex Caudill and Carter LeVan combined for 14 strikeouts.

Dakota Shell had three hits.

DJ Miller belted a double and scored three times.

LeVan drove in three runs.

Washington outscored Rushsylvania 19-10.

Carter Peoples smacked a home run and a double.

Gavynn Lowery was 4-for-4 with a triple.

Brayson Dafler had four hits with a double and two RBIs.

Marshall Schwieterman shined on defense.

Lakeview #1 Robinson's Asphalt Seal Coating blanked Lakeview #2 36-0.

Brandon Villa had two home runs and Gavin Lones added a homer.

Lukas Wisener recorded three doubles.

Reid Vance and Lones combined for eight Ks.

Robinson's Asphalt Seal Coating is 13-0.

On Saturday, Lakeview #1 Robinson's Asphalt Seal Coating defeated Ridgemont #1 17-7.

Brandon Villa, Lukas Wisener, Gavin Lones, Caden Whitman, and Tommy Schmiedebusch each went 4-for-4.



West Liberty beat Lakeview #2 10-5.

Dierdre McGill belted a grand slam.

Emily Daulton and Abby Dillon each scored twice.

East Liberty Middleburg Tracey's Meats shut out Ridgemont Plaza Inn 11-0, then beat Bellefontaine 18-3.

Tracey's Meats finished the regular season 9-0 and outscored their opponents 80-15.

They start tournament play Friday night in Zanesfield.

Church Softball at Gretna:

Union Station edged Calvary Baptist Church 13-12.

Gretna Brethren Church slid past Hopewell United Methodist Church 16-15.
