The West Liberty-Salem boys track team had an outstanding final day at the state meet Saturday at Jesse Owens Stadium.
The Tigers 4x400 relay team won the state title in Division III.

Kelvin Shank, Taylor Cordell, Kam Evans, and Conner Karg turned in a blistering time of 3:19.53 (school record).
The foursome ran a 3:23.81 in the prelims Friday, which was the third fastest time.
Shank, Cordell, and Karg are seniors. Evans is a junior.
The 4x200 relay team of Cordell, Evans, Shank, and Karg placed 5th in 1:29.11.
Karg finished 2nd in the 400 meter dash in 48.90 (school record).
Covington senior Lane White captured the title in 48.24.
Upper Scioto Valley junior George Bauer was 5th in 49.80.
In the 3200 meter run, West Liberty-Salem sophomore Joey Adams was 13th in 10:14.27.
West Liberty-Salem tied for 7th in the team standings with 22 points.

In Division II girls, Bellefontaine junior Brenda Johnson placed 7th in shot put with a throw of 39' 4.25".
It was her second consecutive year to make the podium.
Johnson, who competed this spring with a torn ACL, was 6th last year in Division I.
She will undergo surgery next week.
In Division I boys, Bellefontaine junior Chantz Rose finished 16th in shot put. He recorded a throw of 45' 4".
