Moell leads West Liberty to close win - Youth finals

Several area youth baseball teams played Tuesday night.

Pony League:

West Liberty #1 Thompson, Dunlap, & Heydinger withstood a last-inning rally to beat Zanesfield 9-7.

Levi Moell led West Liberty with a double, a triple, and three RBIs.

Ridgemont handled Bellefontaine #1 16-1.

Jace McGue, Cade McKinley, and Hayden Ferrell tossed a one-hitter with twelve Ks.

Cameron Smith belted a home run and a double.

McKinley had four hits and Tyler Cox added three hits.

Little League:

Bellefontaine #2 Lee's Roofing defeated Zanesfield #2 9-4.

Ethan Moore struck out seven.

Moore had a big night at the plate. He was 3-for-3 with a grand slam and a home run.

Lucas Yoesting had two hits with a double.

Markus Brugler delivered two hits.

For Zanesfield, Derek Levan had two hits with a double.

Bellefontaine National Salt Distributors outscored Bellefontaine McDonald's 14-4.

Chris Carpenter, Gaige Sheely, and Miles Harte combined for 12 Ks.

Derek Hennigan and Brayden Smith led the offense.

For McDonald's, Quincy Hassel, Alex Pulfer, Tad Slayback, and Issac Dillon had hits.

Levan's Body Shop beat Lakeview 11-7.

Camden Strapp was the winning pitcher.

Strapp had three hits with a double.

Matt Loffing, Garrett Payer, and Nick Burden each recorded two hits.

For Lakeview, Hyder and McKinnon each had a hit.

Farm League:

Huntsville #1 Hurley Farms beat Ridgemont 16-4.

Trenton Fulkerson recorded the win with 11 Ks.

Chase Baldwin had four hits with a home run.

Colten Beair smacked a homer.

For Ridgemont, Stuck had a double.

Hurley Farms then defeated DeGraff 22-10.

Elijah Slagle, Kaleb Hurley, Colten Beair, and Chase Baldwin combined for nine strikeouts.

Slagle had a home run.

Colin Burba belted a double and a triple.

Hurley recorded four hits.
