Lady Tigers dominate Cedarville - Basketball scorecard

Several area basketball teams were in action Thursday night.

The West Liberty-Salem varsity girls handled visiting Cedarville 52-21.

Jamie Peterson had 19 points and Kaylin Frederick added 11.

WLS is 2-5.

The JV Tigers stifled the Indians 23-8.

The Riverside varsity girls fell at home to rival Waynesfield-Goshen 70-13.

Brooke Hickey had 7 points.

Samantha Egbert, Emily Teague, and Abby Proffitt each added 2 points.

The Pirates are 2-6.

Jr. High:

The Bellefontaine 8th grade girls beat Graham 38-30.

Emily Mitchell poured in 15 points. Zoe Price recorded 14 points and 8 steals.

The Bellefontaine 7th grade girls steamrolled Graham 35-15.

Aubrey Stolly had 14 points, Anne West tallied 7 points and 10 rebounds, and Hara Brown added 5 points.

The Chiefs return to action January 6th against Benjamin Logan.

The Benjamin Logan 8th grade girls rolled past Northridge 58-17.

Nikki Current had another triple-double with 30 points, 11 rebounds, and 13 steals.

Jazi Reisinger had a season-high 12 points, Kinzie Jones scored 8, and Stevie Plikerd added 6 points and 7 rebounds.

The Raiders are 6-1.

The Benjamin Logan 7th grade girls stifled visiting Northridge 22-7.

Catherine Rhodes scored 6 points.

Pamela Kelly and Grace Deardurff each had 4 points.

Haley Wilson, Olivia Roose, Taylor Bryant, and Katelyn Shellenberger each added 2 points.

The Raiders are 3-4.

The West Liberty-Salem 8th grade girls beat South Vienna 30-18.

The Tigers outscored the Jets 16-8 in the second half.

WLS is 7-0.

The 7th grade Lady Tigers fell to South Vienna 30-18.

Peyton Kerns had 11 points and Maddie Estes added 7 points.

The Bellefontaine 8th grade boys won at Graham 37-32.

Spencer George had 16 points, Tommy Belser recorded 7 points, and Cameron Mitchell added 6.

The Chiefs (4-1) will face Benjamin Logan on January 6th.

Collin Mitchell, Colby Henry, and Aaron Malarkey each added 2 points.

The Benjamin Logan 8th grade boys nipped Northridge 26-25.

Grant Ward had 10 points, Bryden Penhorwood and Presten Cozad each tossed in 6 points, and Jake Henman added 4 points.

The Benjamin Logan 7th grade boys handled Northridge 39-23.

Cole Jones and Zach Deardurff each scored 10 points.

Bryce Schmidt dropped in 8, Jayden Skidmore scored 6, and Jacob Geboy added 4.

The Raiders are 5-0.

The West Liberty-Salem 8th grade boys bounced South Vienna 43-21.

Neil Markin had 12 points, Max Eggleston scored 8, Cody King tossed in 7, and James Loffing added 6.

The West Liberty-Salem 7th grade boys fell to South Vienna 36-25.

Tyler Smith had 10 points and Kasey Kite added 8.

Both WLS teams will play Anna on January 4th.

The Indian Lake 8th grade boys lost at Urbana 50-37.

Collin Coburn poured in 15 points, Kale Shoffner scored 14, and George Lones and Kaleb Weirick each had 4 points.

The Lakers (4-3) will play Graham on January 6th.
