Gertrude A. Buck, 83, of Belle Center, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.
She was born on August 28, 1929 in Geneva, New York, a daughter of the late Grover and Carrie (Fleece) Brown.
On June 12, 1951 in Rome, New York, she married Benjamin Buck and he preceded her in death on September 12, 1980. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Albert Brown.
She worked as a dietician at San Antonio Hospital in Kenton and also at Kroger’s and Big Lots in Bellefontaine.
She was a member of the Belle Center Presbyterian Church and also enjoyed gardening, sewing, and cooking.
She is survived by a daughter, Carrie (Jim Akers) Cavinder of Rushsylvania; sons, Benjamin Buck II of Marysville and Frank (Teresa) Buck of Kenton; grandchildren, Shawn, Scott, and Shannon Van Hoose, Freedom Cavinder, Trinity (Chet) Tavenner, Christopher (Makinizie) Cavinder, Kevin (Cindy) Williams, Jeremy (Heather) Buck, Janna (Jason) Hunt, Jennifer (Ryan) Thornburg, Jordy (Brittany) Buck, Jandra Buck, and Bailey Thiel and 24 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call on Friday, March 22, 2013 from 5-7 p.m. at Eichholtz, Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, Belle Center.
