Christopher David Vance, 43, of Bellefontaine, passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2013 from the result of an automobile accident in Columbus.
He was born on October 19, 1969 in Bellefontaine to David L. and Diane “Crickett” (Colyer) Vance whom survive in Bellefontaine.
On August 19, 2000 he married Melissa Marshall in West Milton and she survives along with their children, Mitchel, Dylan and Abigail. Also surviving are his siblings, Scott (Terri) Vance of Montgomery, AL and Melissa Schinker of Bellefontaine; his father and mother-in-law, Jim and Linda Marshall of West Milton; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
A 1988 graduate of Bellefontaine High School, Chris was a U.S. Army Reserve Veteran from 1988 to 1991 and served in the Operation Desert Storm. An engineer for Honda of America Mfg. Inc., Chris worked in the Quality and Purchasing Divisions for 20 years and most recently was an Aflac insurance agent.
He attended the Philadelphia Lutheran Church in DeGraff as a child and later St. Patrick Catholic Church. He enjoyed snowmobiling, target shooting and spending time with his family.
Deacon Harold Dipple will officiate at an 11:00 am funeral service on Friday, February 15th at Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine where visitation is scheduled for Thursday, February 14th from 4 to 8. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Bellefontaine with military services by the Logan County Veterans Honor Guard.
A memorial fund has been setup at the Honda Federal Credit Union for their children.
