Thomas Warren Elliott, 74, of Bellefontaine, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Highland Regional Medical Center, Sebring, FL.
He was born in Bellefontaine on June 4, 1938 to the late Orrie Scott and Lucille Carrie (Brenneman) Elliott.
On September 4, 1960, he married the love of his life, Marilyn Louise Brown at the New Salem Lutheran Church, and she survives. Also surviving is a son, Scott Lowell (Jeannie) Elliott of Wilmington; a daughter, Erika Lynn (Jon) Spears of Bellefontaine; four grandchildren, Kylinn & Mason Coleman, Lindsay Shirk and Nichole Lambert; great-grandchild, Bailey Jones; his sister, Karen Sue Kaiser of Delaware; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Tom was as a Radiology Nuclear Technician at Mary Rutan Hospital for 37 years and retired in 2000, he was known to everyone for his whistle and his smiling face. Tom also worked as a massage therapist for 5 years at Latham’s Care Center.
A 1956 graduate of Bellefontaine High School, Tom was a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served from 1961–1967. He was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, BPOE #132 where he was a life-member, the Harold Kerr Post #173 American Legion, Sunny Hill RV Camping Club – Chapter 2, and Fan Clan RV Camping Club.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at 10:30am at the Eichholtz Funeral Home, Bellefontaine with Pastors Rob Fulton and Don Hare officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 from 2-4 & 6-8pm. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Cemetery, West Liberty, with military honors provided by the Logan County Veterans Burial Detail.
Memorial contributions may be made to the New Salem Lutheran Church in Zanesfield or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
