Dianne E. Spencer, 67, of Lakeview and formerly of Lima, passed away Sunday morning, May 20, 2012 at Mary Rutan Hospital, Bellefontaine.
Dianne was born on January 15, 1945 in Logan County, OH to the late Joe & Kathleen Newland Carrino. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa K. Nichelson, a brother, Randy Carrino, a sister, Jonie Carrino, a niece, Debbie Campbell, and a brother-in-law, Charles Spencer.
On June 8, 1968, she married Dale Spencer in Angola, IN and he survives. She is also survived by a son, Chris Spencer of Lima, two grandsons, Eric and Paul Nichelson, a sister, Jackie Carrino of Lakeview, two brothers, Billy Carrino, who lives in California, and Mike Carrino, who lives in Alabama, a son-in-law, Robert Nichelson of Alger, OH, brothers/sisters-in-law, Marty Carrino of Mt. Victory, OH, Janet Spencer of St. Marys, OH, Dwight (Roxie) Spencer of Rushsylvania, OH, Shirley Campbell of Wapakoneta, OH, Ferrell (Louise) Spencer of DeGraff, OH, and Bob (Joyce) Spencer of Waynesfield, OH, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Dianne was a life member of the Doyle R. Miller Amvets Post #39, a member of the Indian Lake Women of the Moose #452, and Indian Lake Eagles Auxiliary #3615, all of Lakeview. She attended the Indian Lake Northside Church of the Nazarene. She formerly worked a Superior Building Services in Lima and Mary Rutan Hospital. Dianne was a caring and thoughtful woman who knew no strangers. She was charismatic and had an excellent sense of humor. She enjoyed cooking, working in her flowerbeds around the house, going shopping and was an avid fisher. She enjoyed being around children and animals, especially her pets, Benny and Troy. She deeply loved her family, and looked forward to every family cookout.
Reverend Timothy Johnson and Reverend Gloria Johnson conduct funeral services beginning at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 22nd from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Burial is in Walnut Hill Cemetery, New Hampshire, OH.
