Joan Elaine Haber, 82, of Sun City Center, Florida, and formerly of Bellefontaine and Indian Lake, passed away Tuesday evening, April 3, 2018 at South Bay Hospital, Sun City Center, Florida.
Joan was born in Holland, Michigan on April 2, 1936 to the late Clarence and Geraldine (Bouwman) Kemme. She married JP Haber on October 13, 1956 in Greenville, Ohio and he preceded her in death on January 28, 2002. Joan was also preceded in death by a brother Paul Kemme.
While living in Logan County, Joan was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, Bellefontaine, and had worked as a bank teller at AmeriCom Bank for many years. She loved life and being with her family and friends. While living in Florida, she enjoyed the warm Florida sunshine and spending time with her friends.
Joan is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Jeff Green, of Glen Allen, Virginia; two grandchildren: Jordan and Max Green; extended family: Henry and Kim Boswell of Huntsville and their daughters, Morgan and Monica Boswell; a brother Randall Kemme of Greenville; a sister-in-law Marilyn Kemme Sjogren of Newton, Kansas; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews whom she loved spending time with.
Friends may call at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Bellefontaine, on Tuesday, April 10 from 6-8pm. Pastor Kenneth Locke will officiate the funeral service on Wednesday, April 11 at 11 am at First United Presbyterian Church, Bellefontaine. Burial will be in Bellefontaine Cemetery.
