Mary Patricia Woolf

Mary Patricia Woolf, 57, of Bellefontaine, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at her residence.

She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on January 19, 1960, the daughter of Kenneth Carl “K.C.” Steggeman, who survives in Bellefontaine and the late Mary Margaret (O’Brien) Steggeman who preceded her in death in 2010. She was also preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, David V. and Patricia Anne Woolf.

On July 10, 1982, she married Brad Woolf and he survives along with children; Heidi & William Edwards of Marysville, Brien & Jessica Woolf and Micah Paul Woolf, both of Bellefontaine, three grandchildren; Jay Tuttle, Alexander and William Edwards, her brothers and sisters; Theresa & Brant Dunn of Bellefontaine and Susan & Jim York of Plain City, Joe & Kelly Steggeman and Kevin & Karen Steggeman, both of Bellefontaine and Mark Steggeman of Dublin, Michele Steggeman of Hilliard, Susie Steggeman of Bellefontaine, and David Woolf of Lima, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mary was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother affectionately known as “SewMary.” She was a 1978 graduate of Bellefontaine High School and a 1982 graduate of Bowling Green State University where she belonged to the Delta Zeta sorority. She worked as a Time Rich Philanthropist. She was a longtime member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Bellefontaine, where she was on staff and carried many bags. She worked at the Sewing & Yarn Shop, Bellefontaine, Hilliker YMCA, and Life Leadership. She volunteered at many organizations including the American Red Cross, Logan County voting polls and Boy Scouts of America.

Visitation will be Friday from 11 to 1 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main St., Bellefontaine. Father Shawn Landenwitch will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. in St. Patrick Catholic Church, 316 E. Patterson Ave., Bellefontaine. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. There will be an open house at the Woolf family residence on Sunday afternoon.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church Youth Fund.
