John David “J.D.” Hudson

John David “J.D.” Hudson, 69, of Chicago, Illinois and formerly of Jackson Center, passed away at 2:38 p.m. on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Southbrook Care Center in Springfield, Ohio. He was born in Piqua, Ohio on December 16, 1947, a son of the late John H. “Jack” and Dolores “Dee” (Ware) Hudson.

J.D. is survived by his two brothers, Jerry Hudson of Russia and Larry (Marie) Hudson of Headland, Alabama; nieces and nephews, Thara Winstead, Hope (Scott) Hoffman, Aaron (Yuko) Hudson, and Justin Hudson; several great nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Annie Smith.

A U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran, J.D. was a self-employed carpenter. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and American Legion Scherer Post #493, both in Jackson Center.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 214 W. Pike Street, Jackson Center. Rev. Dr. Cathi Braasch will officiate a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 6th at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Glen Cemetery in Port Jefferson, Ohio.

Memorial contributions may be made, in J.D.’s memory, to American Legion Scherer Post #493, 627 College Street, Jackson Center, Ohio 45334.

Funeral arrangements are in the care of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home in Jackson Center and online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.edsfh.com.
