Lura Mae (Miller) Grandstaff, 96, of DeGraff, passed away at 9:40 am on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Logan Acres Care Center.
She was born in Bellefontaine, Ohio on April 30, 1920 to the late William Arthur and Martha Alice (Gross) Miller.
On June 29, 1941, Lura married, her husband of 75 years, James Richard Grandstaff, in DeGraff, Ohio and he preceded her in death on December 26, 2016. She was also preceded in death by; a sister, Emma Kauffman; eight brothers, Raymond, Gailen, Louis, Willis, Kenneth, Luther, Richard, and Donald Miller.
Lura is survived by her two children Lucinda Holycross of DeGraff and Ronald (Becky) Grandstaff of Huntsville; four grandchildren, Douglas (Jenni) Grandstaff, Matthew (Lori) Grandstaff, Shawn (Jaime) Holycross, and Ryan (Stacey) Holycross; and nine great grandchildren.
A homemaker and lifetime farmer’s wife, Lura was a member of the DeGraff United Methodist Church since 1939. She was also a member of Constance Chapter #78 O.E.S. and Bellefontaine Chapter #459 O.E.S.
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at 11:00 am on Monday, April 17, 2017 in Greenwood-Union Cemetery in DeGraff, Ohio.
