David L. "Dave" Seeley, 60, of Bellefontaine, OH, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at his residence.
He was born September 7, 1956 in Bellefontaine, OH the son of the late James I. "Jim" and Harriet A. (Warye) Seeley.
On June 30, 1979, he married Glenna G. Berry of Bellefontaine, and she survives. He is also survived by his mother; three children, Kyle (Ashley) Seeley of Marysville, OH; Kristen (Jeff) Dinovo of DeGraff, OH; Kurt Seeley and his girlfriend Elicia Woodrum of Bowling Green, KY; three grandchildren, Zhoe Lynn Seeley, Kinsley Ann Dinovo, Carter Andrew Seeley; a brother, Michael Seeley of Columbus, OH; sister Venessa (Tim) Million of Hollywood, FL; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father in 2009.
In David's younger years he was active in the Boy Scouts of America for many years with his brother and father. For his career, David was a licensed funeral director and embalmer for 37 years. He served the Logan County community at Eichholtz Funeral Home for over 35 years. David took pride in his work and took joy in his family. For many years he was active in the Logan County Fair livestock show with his wife, three children, and dear family friends. Throughout the athletic years of his children, he loved attending every sporting event to show his support; to coach and to encourage his children and their team. When his grandchildren arrived, he found another generation of his family to love and share his mischievous side. David was a rock to his wife, an inspiration to his children, and a joyful and funny guy to his family and friends. He will be missed not only by his family, but to all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held at 10 am Saturday, April 1, 2017 at The First Church of God, 1000 Brown Ave., Bellefontaine, Ohio 43311. Burial of cremated remains will take place at the Bellefontaine Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be held from 2-8 pm Friday, March 31, at The First Church of God. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jennings Farley Funeral Home & Crematory, 5591 US Rt. 68, West Liberty. In accordance with David's wishes to continue to support a passion in his life, wrestling. All funds donated will be split between the Benjamin Logan and Bellefontaine youth wrestling programs.
