N. Maxine Willoby, 95, of Bellefontaine, passed away Monday, June 10, 2013 in the Green Hills Inn, West Liberty.
She was a Logan County native and was born November 24, 1917, the daughter of the late Milton and Nellie Victoria (Ammons) Jacobs. She married Robert M. Willoby in Angola, IN on May 3, 1952 and he preceded her in death on June 13, 1992. She is also preceded in death by her brother Cecil Jabobs, two sisters including her twin sister, Pauline Culp and her other sister France “Peg” Moon, and one great-grandson.
She is survived by her two sons; Benjamin (Terri) Willoby of Bellefontaine and James (Alisa) Willoby of Cullman, AL, four grandchildren; David (Jessica) Willoby of Rushsylvania, Jared (Melody) Willoby of Lewistown, Benjamin Willoby II, and Andrew (Lacey) Willoby of Bowling Green, OH, eight great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Maxine was a 1936 graduate of Bellefontaine High School and after school she went to work for H.G. Short & Company, Bellefontaine where she worked until she was married and had her first child. She later went back to work until her retirement for the former Banc Ohio, National City Bank, and now presently PNC Bank, where she worked as a secretary. Upon retirement, she enjoyed traveling with her senior group. She was a member of the First Church of God, Bellefontaine.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, June 14, 2013 at the Eichholtz Funeral Home, Bellefontaine with Pastor Ron Irick officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 until 8 pm and again one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Huntsville Cemetery.
