A drunk pedestrian was arrested downtown Wednesday night around seven o'clock.
The Bellefontaine Police Department reports that James Hill, 48, of 513 East Chillicothe Avenue, Bellefontaine, was stumbling in the 200 block of South Main Street.
Oncoming traffic was forced to slow down when Hill staggered across Main Street.
Officers stopped Hill before he reached the intersection of South Main and Auburn. He said he just left a bar after consuming a six pack of beer. He could not remember the name of the bar.
Hill told police he was walking to Speedway to buy a Mountain Dew.
Hill was charged with public intoxication and lodged in the Logan County Jail.
