The Jefferson Township Trustees discussed the possibility of compiling cemetery regulations during their monthly meeting Tuesday.
The regulations would look into monument height and review what kind of flowers can be planted near a grave. The trustees look to have the regulations ready for a proposed vote at the next meeting.
The township conducted an insurance review with the Ohio Township Association Risk Management Authority. The township is under a renewal plan that gives the township liability, auto, and property coverage. The plan will now cover the ball field dugouts.
The township will begin preparing for winter over the next couple of weeks by purchasing salt and grit. The township will also prepare the trucks with plows and chains.
Trustee Scott Armentrout comments on the meetings topics.
