Four defendants were sentenced and two pleaded guilty before Logan County Common Pleas Court Judge Mark O’Connor on Monday.
Marvin Heminger, 63, of Bellefontaine, was sentenced to eight years in prison for three counts of gross sexual imposition. He will also be on post release control for five years and will have to register as a Tier II sex offender for 25 years.
In July, Heminger pleaded guilty to three counts of gross sexual imposition.
In December, Heminger was indicted for one count of rape (F1) and seven counts of gross sexual imposition (F3).
The Bellefontaine Police Department responded to allegations of sexual abuse with three girls under the age of 14 from Logan County. The incidents happened over the last three years.
Police started their investigation in September.
Officers were assisted by Logan County Children's Services.
Heminger was convicted of four counts of gross sexual imposition in 1991 and sent to prison.
Joshua Claybaugh, 28, of DeGraff, was sentenced to six years in prison for two counts of burglary. He was also ordered to pay restitution.
Jonathon Allen, 32, of Bellefontaine, was sentenced to the West Central Community Based Correctional Facility, three years community control, a six-month driver’s license suspension, and ordered to pay attorney fees and court costs for possession of drugs.
Curtis Breneman, 21, of Bellefontaine, was sentenced to 30 days in the Logan County Jail, five years community control, and ordered to pay a $250 fine, court costs, and attorney fees for burglary.
Brandon Russell, 30, of Bellefontaine, pleaded guilty to theft and possession of drugs.
Dustin Krouse, 28, of Bellefontaine, pleaded guilty to burglary.
Presentence investigations were ordered and sentencings are scheduled for September 23rd.
On Friday, Lelitha Guisinger, 46, of Richwood, pleaded guilty to theft and was placed on the prosecutor’s diversion program.
