A local motorcyclist was injured when she struck a dog west of Roundhead Wednesday evening around eight o'clock.
The Findlay Post of the State Highway Patrol reports that Lori Herring, 49, of Lakeview, was southbound on County Road 25 near State Route 385 when a stray dog ran in front of her bike.
Herring struck the dog and crashed.
Herring's husband, Jeffrey, 53, was riding next to her. He was able to avoid the dog, but lost control and slid across a gravel driveway off the left side of the road.
Mrs. Herring was transported to Lima Memorial Hospital by Upper Scioto Valley EMS.
Mr. Herring was not injured.
The dog was killed.
The Hardin County Sheriff's Office and Roundhead Fire Department assisted at the scene.
