Photography, Quilting, and Needlework name Best of Show

A couple art departments had judging during the Logan County Fair Monday.

Photography had 15 categories strung across color, black & white, and youth photos.

Leslie Swonguer took Best of Show in color with her entry in the Fruits and Vegetables category (pictured top left). Reserve went to Bonnie Brielmaier for her entry in the Butterflies category.

Leslie Swonguer took Best of Show in black & white for her antique category entry (pictured right) and Reserve for her critter category entry.

The youth category saw Claire Brandt take Best of Show for her 12, 13, 14 age group entry. Reserve was claimed by Allison Kinney for her 9, 10, or 11 age group piece.

The quilt show had 4 categories.

Full-size quilt Best of Show went to Judy Kitson and Reserve was Judy Maxwell.

Wall Hangings/small quilts Best of Show went to Margorie Bixler and Reserve was awarded to Carmel Elliot.

Mix Category Best of Show went to a group quilt entered by Judy Kitson. Reserve went to Cindy Boone.

Professional Quilt Full Size Best of Show was Kathleen Price and Reserve went to Connie Hurley.

Needlework also sported 4 categories.

Anita Stanley won Best of Show in crochet and Reserve went to Rosemary Hunsicker.

Debbie Horney won Best of Show and Reserve in knitting. (Entries pictured left)

Needlework/counted cross stitch Best of Show was Fran Sutherly (pictured right). Reserve went to Tim Smith (pictured left).

Machine Sewing Best of Show was Kim Comer and Reserve went to Iris Raines.
