The Logan County Bridge Club is playing bridge from sunrise to sunset today as a partner for The Longest Day, which is a day to raise awareness and funds for the care, support, and research of the Alzheimer's Association.
The event honors the strength, passion, and endurance of those facing Alzheimer's disease.
At dawn today, Club member Jim Nehs started playing Bridge Base. Jim and other participants have been playing continuously at his Indian Lake home. All of the playing fees will benefit the Alzheimer's Association.
The global organization's mission is to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research to provide and enhance care and support for all affected, and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health. You can see more at www.alz.org.
